Inspiration
Managing money can feel a little abstract, when cash was the dominant form of transactions, you had to watch the money leave your hands when you paid for something. But as purchasing products becomes easier there is a bigger and bigger disconnect between that feeling. Its so easy to spend money using credit cards or applepay you might not even realize how much money your spending.
What it does
Fluid is meant to display your financial information in a way that might be easier for people to digest: like water entering and leaving a tank. It can even show you what areas that money is being spent on so that you can cut back on unnecessary purchasing.
How we built it
We are using the free version of the plaid api to get financial information. As well as node, javascript, and react for the webpages.
Challenges we ran into
Two things that really challenged us as a team was the fluid simulation as we coded it from scratch and lack of experience of using api's in general.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to get certain challenging aspects to work.

A lot about the tools that we utilized throughout the project.
What's next for Fluid
We would like to flesh out the website a little more or finish anything that wasn't done in time.
