For this design, the focus was to create a fluid layout that could easily transform data from a database (or XML with a stylesheet) so that it could easily flow on a mobile device and/or desktop browser using HTML5 and CSS3.

We wanted to allow sections to be responsive and be able to follow some sort of standardization; hard-coding design around fluid data gives you designs that cannot be implemented - so we focused on not binding our design to boxes and fixed layouts.

By not limiting the text by boxes and other boundaries found in most designs, the ease of implementing this patient-focused, mobile device-friendly layout greatly increases

We tried our best to make sure that the design can represent the most generic data and that some javascript could be used to give additional details to the patient (like the definitions of Phase's and types of study).
