Inspiration
Every day, people make high-stakes decisions—who to date, hire, or invest in—based on little more than a name and a profile picture. Professional background checks are expensive and opaque. We wanted to democratize OSINT so anyone can legally and ethically uncover public-record insights before they trust.
What it does
Digital Footprint Hub provides a comprehensive AI-driven intelligence suite via our unified ChatGPT-style interface, session avatars, and live API integrations:
Threat Intelligence
Aggregates global cyber-threat feeds (malware, phishing, vulnerability alerts) and issues real-time security warnings.OSINT Investigations
Automates deep public-record and social-media searches—news archives, court filings, sentiment analysis—delivering concise, actionable reports in seconds.Dating & Safety Checks
Paste a dating profile or phone number to surface scam reports, social-media red flags, and personalized safety scores.Social Media Checker
Enter a username to aggregate posts, follower networks, sentiment analysis, and influence metrics.Google Search Helper
Run advanced Google Dorks with one click—filter by filetype, date range, and domain. Background Check Hub
Pull in news archives, public records, and watch-lists to build a detailed profile on any individual or organization.Blockchain Verification Hub
Validates on-chain identities and asset authenticity (tokens, NFTs, smart contracts) by cross-referencing blockchain explorers, watch-lists, and decentralized oracles.
How we built it
In our initial 72-hour sprint we:
- Leveraged the Bolt.new hackathon builder pack for rapid prototyping and deployment
- Scaffolded a Next.js/React monorepo with four themed dashboard packages
- Integrated OpenAI for generative summaries and Google NLP for sentiment
- Hooked into SERP API, Apify, Dappier, and SightEngine for real-time data pulls
- Implemented a shared state store to orchestrate multi-dashboard context
- Deployed to Netlify with Cloudflare Workers handling rate-limit caching
Challenges
- API orchestration: Juggling rate limits and inconsistent response schemas across five different services
- State syncing: Ensuring each dashboard’s examples, capabilities, and limitations panels updated in lockstep
- UX clarity: Avoiding information overload while still surfacing meaningful OSINT results
Accomplishments
- Delivered four fully functional OSINT dashboards with end-to-end chat flows
- Achieved sub-2-second response times for complex multi-API queries
- Built a modular theme system so each section maintains its own iconography and color accent without code duplication
What we learned
- A centralized state manager (Zustand) lets React and custom Web Components share context seamlessly
- Caching intermediate results in Cloudflare Workers slashed API costs by 30% without hurting freshness
- UX microcopy (“Don’t date before you scrape,” etc.) guides non-technical users through powerful OSINT tools
What’s next
- Integrate Tavus pre-recorded video avatars and ElevenLabs TTS for voice-enabled guidance
- Roll out an iOS/Android companion app for on-the-go checks
- Expand data sources with public court filings and global sanction lists
- Launch closed beta to collect user feedback on new “investor-vet” and “hire-smart” modules
