Inspiration
It's tedious and annoying to plan what class to register for the next semester when academic planning resources are in pdf form. It requires manually printing out and crossing off every semester wasting time and paper.
What it does
It streamlines the process of scheduling courses for the next semester. It highlights classes student can take based on what they have already taken, crossed out classes they have taken, and grayed out classes they can't take yet. They students interact with the program to quickly visualize the prerequisites for each class and get an idea what the course is about and how hard it is.
How I built it
We built demo that shows the basic functions of program using html, css, javascript, and photoshop for image editing.
Challenges I ran into
Time constraints and not enough experience in programming to make program usable. We also cannot get the database for our program because we have to get access to the school database to get information of the students.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Having an idea that people find useful and want to use.
What I learned
Resourcefulness, make the best of the our current skill level, and not stress on the little things.
What's next for Flow
A good nap and making the next version usable.
