We were captivated by the rich tapestry of plant species that grace this diverse archipelago and recognized the need to raise awareness about the importance of conservation.
What it does
FloraExplorer is a pioneering initiative that unites cutting-edge technology with a love for nature. It offers a unique platform for users to discover, learn, and contribute to the protection of Indonesia's remarkable native flora. Users can explore the captivating world of plant species, learn about their significance, and actively participate in safeguarding the environment.
How we built it
We built FloraExplorer by leveraging the power of technology and collaboration. Our team, comprised of tech enthusiasts and environmental advocates, worked tirelessly to create an integrated platform. The heart of our initiative is a chatbot powered by Retrieval Augmented Generation technology, connecting users to a wealth of information about native flora. Additionally, we are continuously working on the integration of the ArcGIS API for Python to capture and map user-uploaded images and geolocation data.
