Making an impact on the community and encouraging users towards our sustainability goals. Helping our local gardener tackle at least one of our significant problems- identifying weeds in the nick of time.

Garden Planner
To help users visualize the garden and manage the seeds/plants in a better manner. Using easy drag and drop users can easily align their plot squares, group them and visually see the laydown. The 3D system helps in better visualizing the alignments of the plots and how the garden comes together.
Weed Detection
Real-time and Static Detection of weeds based on users accessibility and easiness. Realtime detection allows users to use our underlying (Pexip's) VPAAS technology to capture the images as well as also allow the users to capture their perfect shot of the garden. The VPAAS technology allows us to integrate the Garden Community into our service later. Static Weed Detection can allow users to send their already captured images (from anywhere) to our service to detect weeds giving accessibility also to users based on their preference. This can also be extended as a monitoring system.
Personal Garden Assistant
GenAI Assistant that gives garden and farming-focused tips and guidance 24x7. Fun fact? The assistant can also be triggered through speech recognition. Try "Hey Flora Flow" and wait to see them pop up.
How we built it
So, after a little bit of brainstorming from all of us around the central theme and our common goal towards sustainability, we went ahead with the Garden Management. Through our discussions, multiple ideas came up, some we decided to do as MVP, some good to be done in future and some we couldn't do because of limitations.
We then decided on the frameworks, models and datasets. Building up the generic UI, we started working on different features on all fronts.
Once MVP was done we decided to fine-tune our features and add some minor features while trying out different technologies.
Staying up for 24 hours was the fun part of building our idea for hackathon!
Technologies like NextJs, React, TypeScript, Express, Python, ExG, NExG, HSV, ExHSV, AI model, API, Three.js, Speech Recognition, Generative AI were integrated to bring our ideas to life!
Challenges we ran into
- Limited resources as we wanted to integrate IoT to have smart irrigation and monitoring system
- AR, implementing on our systems was difficult and couldn't be tested out so had to drop
- Python and javascript integration was new to some, but nevertheless we were able to try our hands on different things
