We were inspired to act on the extreme amount of plastic waste our school’s cafeteria produces every day in the form of plastic utensils.
Our product offers students and professionals a sustainable and affordable solution to plastic utensils and non renewable alternatives like metal.
Our manufacturers source their bamboo from family owned farms and sustainable practices. We assemble our bamboo utensils in biodegradable linen pouches.
We found that to solve our problem, we needed to replace the use of plastic at school. Which would ultimately save our school resources in plastic waste and the money used to buy those plastics. However, we lack the labor and monetary resources to manufacture utensils for our entire district. Instead we must adjust our target audience to fit the students, teachers, and parents who already demonstrate a disposition towards sustainable living. This year our demand is much higher than last year and we look forward to to generating a greater environmental impact.
