Inspiration
We love games like CSGO and Rainbow Six, and we want to bring it to the property market.
What it does
We use the map of these games as metric to form the properties of a floor layout, defining what it actually makes a real life house safe against intruders or attackers based on game map data.
How we built it
We built this project with uncertainty in mind. We used two backends based on Node.js and Kotlin, allowing for failsafes if there where any server issue or integration issues, and also to perform different type of calculations and metrics.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into huge challenges using Kotlin as a backend as it was our first time using such technology, we spent a lot of time debugging and integrating the base of the project we initially struggled with.
Alongside with Kotlin, we also struggled with implementing google api into our application. We tried for hours to work some sort of implementation but we kept running with tokens and rate limits even though we had used the key for the first time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to deploy a unique fully functioning app that can use nodejs and kotlin as a backend. We are proud of creating something unqiue that we havent seen before using AI APIs.
We are proud of how great of a team we made being able to work together to split tasks efficiently and have different parts work together despite being developed separately.
What we learned
We learned a lot about kotlin (our first time) and deployments. Learning a lot of how seemling different things can be used togethor to create something very useful and productive.
We also learned how important is time management where we need to prioritise time-consuming tasks to have a smoothing sailing along these 24 hours.
