Inspiration

Use existing lidar data to generate insights by identifying weak point in the situation of an flood of a river. See what parts of a city or land in general would be affected first and to what extend to be able to generate counter-measures.

(Existing challenge from EIFER and fokus.energie to use existing lidar data and create some use case)

What it does

Simulate the river and it's surrounding in case of a flood and shows which parts are flooded by time until everything is under water.

How we built it

Using existing Tools like LAStools and QGIS for visualizing data and data manipulation we primarily rely on Python to transform the data in a format that is useful for the use case and generate the future data. [WIP]
