I like building products, but I don't like marketing them, so I built Flockwith.me to automate the marketing process on Twitter. ## Inspiration

How it works

Users can add hashtags, twitter screen names and Twitter Lists. Flock automatically fetches tweets, their followers, and twitter list subscribers respectively. The user can then choose to automatically favorite those tweets, follow those screen names, or follow the list subscribers. It's great if you build cool stuff and want people to notice you! The followers don't hurt either...

What I learned

Flock was my first time hacking on an API so I learned all about making GET requests and POST requests and structuring my application in such away to not get Users banned. Also limited my requests was a challenge. It took a lot of planning before hand to come up with my current solution, which is to use a separate set of about 20 Access Key Token sets to scrape twitter profiles, lists, and hashtags and add them to the database. When a user adds a twitter username or a list name/hashtag, chances are I don't need to use their account to fetch the lists from Twitter. I already have them in the database.
