Inspiration
Our idea for Flock came as a response to the fear that female students feel around assault, harassment, and overall safety on college and university campuses. From this initial seed, we expanded and saw that this same fear was present in virtually all young women—regardless of the safety precautions they already took. Women often protect themselves by staying in groups—however, their safety concerns persist and there are many ways we can make the simple experience of going out with friends even more safe and worry-free. This is how we created Flock: a safety bracelet uniquely designed to keep you and your group safe.
How Flock works
Flock bracelets pair with each other and track the distance between you and your friends using ultra-wideband technology. If someone exceeds your group's specified safety distance, Flock wirelessly sends vibration notifications to the rest of the bracelets.
