Inspiration
Many of us have worked with scanned paper surveys and know the painpoints of manual data entry.
What it does
Flock digitizes in-person surveying to empower non-profit workers to collect digital data on the spots.
How we built it
We had the admin side online and the survey side offline.
Challenges we ran into
Having our online app communicate with our desktop app, verifying that we are able to create and serve any form instead of hardcoding in 3 static forms, and working with multiple input types to collect the most accurate data possible.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have a working desktop application and a database that allows for easy sorting
What we learned
Technology is not only about innovation, it's about distribution and making sure that the most vulnerable in our society are able to reap the benefits ofcode.
