Many inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis are characterized by periodic symptom flare-ups seemingly coming out of the blue. However, these flare-ups are often preceded by inflammation. By using a thermal camera to detect inflammation, and combining this with other sensor data, we can predict symptoms for the days ahead.
