Inspiration

The inspiration came from a common challenge in e-commerce: peak sales events like Black Friday, holiday season, or back-to-school rush. During these high-demand periods, orders skyrocket, and customer support teams are buried under refund, replacement, and delivery requests. Manual handling is slow, error-prone, and stressful, while managers struggle to see real-time patterns and respond effectively.

We asked: what if customer service could be automated while managers gained live, data-driven insights to stay ahead of the chaos?

That idea gave birth to Flipzon Agentforce — a two-part solution that merges AI-powered customer service automation with Tableau Next real-time analytics dashboards.

What it does

Flipzon Agentforce is a two-part solution:

1. Customer Service Automation

Instantly processes refunds for loyal or premium customers. Rejects invalid requests (like “change-of-mind” returns). Escalates complex cases to sellers or delivery partners. Tracks and updates case histories seamlessly.

2. Tableau Next Analytics Dashboards

Order Summary & Refund History — a 360° view of customer interactions. Proactive Alerts — detect at-risk orders, return abuse, and delayed deliveries. Conversational Analytics — managers can ask questions like: “Which product has the highest return rate this week?” …and get instant, interactive insights. Together, automation reduces workload, while analytics empowers smarter, faster decision-making.

How we built it

Simulated realistic e-commerce datasets covering orders, refunds, and escalations.

Designed Agentforce workflows to automate customer service tasks.

Integrated Salesforce Data Cloud with Tableau Next for semantic modeling.

Developed interactive dashboards tracking KPIs and generating proactive alerts.

Demoed customer-agent interactions to showcase automation connected to live dashboards.

Challenges we ran into

Defining fair automation rules balancing speed, efficiency, and customer trust.

Handling real-time queries while minimizing false escalations.

Designing proactive alerts that provide value without overwhelming managers.

Generating high-volume seasonal datasets that realistically mimic peak sales events.

Working within Salesforce license restrictions, which limited us from building a fully end-to-end automated application. We mimicked a real agent and created a working prototype, but couldn’t fully exploit features like embedding the agent on an external site for live web deployment.

Enhance integration with external e-commerce platforms for smoother end-to-end automation.

Deploy the solution in live pilot programs with real-world e-commerce partners to validate performance and measure customer satisfaction impact.
