FlipTheScript is a film and TV rating platform that scores movies and shows against the tests Hollywood doesn't want you to think about. Think Rotten Tomatoes — but instead of critic scores, we show you the Bechdel Test (do two women talk about something other than a man?), the Sexy Lamp Test (could the female character be replaced with a lamp without affecting the plot?), and the Ellen Willis Test (would the film work with the genders reversed?). Every title gets a score. Every score tells a story. But we don't just tell you — we show you. FlipTheScript uses AI to generate video demonstrations: watch a female character literally replaced with a lamp, or see a scene recut with genders swapped, voices and faces rebuilt using ElevenLabs and MagicHour. The bias stops being abstract the moment you see it on screen. We built this because these tests exist but there's nowhere to experience them all in one place. FlipTheScript is a living database of representation — part research tool, part cultural mirror, part wake-up call. Because the first step to changing how women are written in film is making everyone feel exactly how they're written right now.
