Flipped

Inspiration

We like to read, and we discuss our current and past books, so wanted to take this snapshot and make a platform for it.

What it does

Flipped is a platform where users can search a database for books and add titles to their personal collection. Titles can be added to their 'To be read' list, indicating that the user wants to read them in the future, or their Bookshelf, indicating completion. Users are able to rate each book and write a review that is housed in their Reviews page. Additionally, books can be filtered for genre.

We utilized Python and Streamlit to create a web application.

What's next for Flipped

The next feature we would like to implement is a Community page, where individuals can complete events alongside other users and participate in book chat forums. We would also like to implement different versions of the Bookshelf screen to make it more personalized.
