Inspiration
We were inspired by Vuelin's challenge to help people make traveling more enjoyable.
What it does
It's a game that encourages passengers to interact with eachother. Through mini-games, the passengers unlock different badges depicting landmarks of the city they are flying to. This mini-games can be individual, 1v1, or multiplayer.
How we built it
We used Android Studio to develop this app. The language used was Kotlin
Challenges we ran into
No one on the team had previously used Android Studio nor Kotlin, so it was a challenge to get started. We also ran into creative difficulties since we didn't fully design the project until later. Lastly, due to the lack of time, we didn't finish the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built most part of the front-end and some of the back-end, even if they are not connected still. We were able to use a language and frameworks new to us.
What we learned
Not only did we learn Kotlin and how to build an app with Android Studio, but we also learned the importance of a well stablished design for a project.
What's next for FlightQuest
We would love to finish building the app in the near future.
