Inspiration

Our Inspiration to build this project is Pega itself. Traditional techniques of application development may take some months for development as well as testing of the project. But using pega tool, we've developed this application in 20 days with simple yet effective User Interface.

What it does

Application end users can book flight tickets from various departure cities to destination cities with our project Flight ticket booking system.

How we built it

We've build this project using Pega 8.7.1 Community edition. We've unit tested each and every rule and made sure that the guardrail compliance score is not less than 90%. We've ran every possible case and tested whether there occurs any errors.

Challenges we ran into

We've developed user friendly UI and made sure the application be easily accessible on every device. We've used simple skins for the section and portal rules. As it is a demo video, we've not much concentrated on the skins and colors much. We've concentrated on the case life cycle and had done what we have to.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've generated a ticket document(.pdf) and it took nearly 4-5 hours for the alignment of the UI elements in the ticket and the outcome was also satisfactory. We've implemented OTP verification of the mobile number using activities and implemented real-time email also. We're working on real time payment gateway and it's almost done.

What's next for Flight Ticket Booking System

As a future requirement, we can also include the other modes of transport like train, bus tickets etc. too at the home page of the application. So that the user can not just access flight tickets, but can also check other modes of transport too.
