Inspiration
Looking at the introduction video, we heard your call to action - to be crazy. And so, we turned on our ideas. Why make a "life hack app" like everyone who plays safe? Instead lets drive the experience. With that thought we looked at our main sponsor, American Airlines, and it hit us; in flight entertainment is boring! You either always resort to your personal device or watch one of the new movies that refresh monthly(given you didnt already at a theater). But lets go back to being children, when the seating space was more than we needed, and the TV had more than we've seen before.
For us making this game was a perfect idea, as we each were able to have fun with a specialty on the project: A person working on 3d models, a person on the main game, and another on the homepage.
What it does
Our project opens as a web page built around our game that can be ran on the same page, or downloaded (for offline access, or integration on-air).
How we built it
3d models -crafted on Blender Game Engine - Godot WebDev - React.js, Three.js, GSAP SFX and music - ElevenLabs Maintaining a shared project - Github
Challenges we ran into
The inclement weather, sending us to find a shared place to inhabit for the remaining hacking time. Ensuring 3d assets were game ready (manually triangulating assets). Learning new libraries, tools, integrating the game into HTML, and funneling our creativity to results.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The entire 3d aspect was transformative. The website, the game, and the modeling all helped bring this game to life.
