Inspiration
Based on personal experiences of almost missing flights, we wanted to create a website that helped passengers arrive at the airport well before their flight departed, ensuring that nobody would ever have to sprint through a crowded airport, desperately trying to catch their flight, ever again.
What it does
The website incorporates data from the American Airlines API along with another API that delivers times from the airport to calculate an arrival time that ensures the user will not be late to any flights in the future.
Challenges we ran into
Creating a full-stack website in less than twenty-four hours is very difficult, and there were many challenges that we had to overcome in the process. Specifically, the integration of the various languages and APIs was a tough challenge that we faced later in the project. But, through ingenuity and hard work, we were able to overcome it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to deliver a website that incorporates multiple APIs to help people comfortably arrive early to their gate well before their flight leaves.
