Inspiration
We wanted to have a game system that didn't require expensive controllers, so we built flick fury, where you can play games with just your hand and a camera device.
What it does
Flick fury has a library of games which can be played either using hand gestures or an generic external joystick. It makes gaming accessible to people anytime, anywhere.
How we built it
We used react to create our app and a python backend using mediapipe to deal with the hand tracking.
Challenges we ran into
We ran in to challenges implementing the physics each game and putting each one together, as well as stabilizing the hand tracking to make gameplay smoother.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to create three games, each with their own way to interact without an external device.
What we learned
We learned that making the game playable while also using unconventional modes of interaction.
What's next for Flick Fury
We hope to implement new games to expand our library.
