Inspiration

Inspired by Tinder we want to create a playful and yet simple way to find new recipes and order them directly to your doorstep.

What it does

After filling out a very short on-boarding about your dietary preferences the user can see different recipes. They can then swipe right if they want to order the ingredients and cook it themselves. After 7 right-swipes the user can see an overview of all their meals for the next week and can optionally replace some of the recipes. If the user has less than 7, they can also auto-generate the remaining meals. At any time the user can also order all of their meals (also less than 7).

How we built it

With a Flutter front-end, a JavaScript back-end and a server hosted on Google Cloud we hope to revolutionize the food industry.

Challenges we ran into

A key aspect of the challenge is creating a great UX, so that the user can configure their meal plan in the best way possible, while not having the burden of filling out endless forms. Before starting with the development, we spent many hours trying to think of the best UX possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having never really worked together as a team, we are most proud of growing not only as individuals but more importantly as a team. We have gotten to know each other very well and harnessed the strengths of everyone.

What we learned

Designing the front-end was an essential part of the project. We really learned a lot from brainstorming and sketching endless designs on the whiteboard. It was a great learning experience!

What's next for Flavor Match

We as a team want to keep in touch and hopefully develop many more projects together. After harmonizing so well this weekend, we are certain that we are a perfect (flavor) match.
