Inspiration
I wanted to make an iOS app because many times, phone apps are ignored in favor of web development even though phones account for 90% of internet traffic. This app has realize for college students like me by bringing studying into the electronic era.
What it does
Users can create/edit flashcards and use them like any other flashcard except electronically. All parts of the app from loading screens to buttons have assets to make the app UI more understandable. Users can also play a tile matching mini game if they get bored of studying, but still want to improve their memory.
How we built it
I wrote it in Swift using Xcode.
Challenges we ran into
I wanted to save user created flashcards even after the app closed, so that they could be reusable, since that is realistic. I had to learn to use UserDefaults to save to disk work around this.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud that I was able to create such a large project as a single person. I am especially proud of the UI, it is very minimal/clean, but still manages to convey all the points across.
What we learned
I learned / got more comfortable with Swift and coding iOS apps.
What's next for Flashcards
Better animations and more mini games!
