How to play

Just use the space key to move the rectangle (bird). Keep in mind that it only moves in one direction. Three rights make a left.

Inspiration

Everybody knows and loves the mobile game Flappy Bird, but it is only for mobile. We asked ourselves "Why should there not be a retro desktop version of this fan-favourite game?"

What it does

It lets you play the game on desktop with adjusted controls.

How we built it

We used Java and AWT, Swing, and JavaFX libraries.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating both JavaFX, Swing, and AWT libraries to create a graphical user interface was challenging.

What's next for Flappy Rectangle

• Improving graphics
