Challenges we ran into

Issues with the camera not picking up blinking when the person in focus was not looking directly at the camera. We tried to pick up peoples faces and locate their eyes and pick up blinking using a method called Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR) but that was not very accurate so we transitioned to Google's MediaPipe Tasks API to fix the problem.

I worked on creating the classes for the pipes, and making it so the pipes generate continuously with a random sized gap. As well as this, I implemented the logic for the game to end and restart. I also added the score functionality so the score updates by 1 with each pipe you pass (Kyle then designed the best score feature), and finally created the main menu, linking it to the main game screen. This was my first pygame project, and it was pretty fun!
