Wanted to make a game
What it does
You can swipe up to jump.
How we built it
We followed a react native tutorial on how to make flappy bird, and then repurposed the code in order to make the game run more like the no internet connection dinosaur game.
Challenges we ran into
We wanted to implement a ducking feature, but had a lot of problems with state changing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Changing method of jumping from tapping to swiping.
What we learned
How to be more patient and now knowing we no longer want to pursue game dev.
What's next for Flappy Dollarama Dinosaur Game
hopefully implementing ducking, high score feature, and implementing the models we created instead of just using simple rectangles.
