Inspiration

We were inspired by modern user interfaces and the need for such systems in the real world to be more simplified and accessible.

What it does

It consolidates and displays information in an easily digestible manner for managers, maintenance crew, and other stakeholders.

How we built it

We began by addressing the target audience, and built the skeleton of the project based on the needs of the client. We then used a React frontend with a Flask backend, along with industry-standard AI/ML technologies to create projections of vital data.

Challenges we ran into

We found it difficult to find a compelling design for the frontend that would be simple while retaining the integrity of the data. We also found difficulty ingesting the data and choosing an appropriate model to train from the data given the limited amount of data available.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a compellingly simple visualization while balancing the utility of the project as a whole.

What we learned

We learned that the hard part of a CS project is never the coding, but the learning and the design processes that lead to that code. Additionally, connecting the silos between the clients, the frontend team, and the backend team were not easy.
