Inspiration
Our inspiration was the viral social media app "BeReal." We loved the authenticity and engagement of every daily post post and wanted an environment like that -- we thought no better way to show that then through outfits.
What it does
Flair is essentially a sharing platform for an OOTD -- you post an OOTD, look at other's OOTD's, and look at influencer's OOTDs. There is the ability to tag each piece of the outfit in each post as well.
How we built it
Our tech stack was Swift and XCode in the front end and Node and PostgreSQL in the backend.
Challenges we ran into
All of our team members were generally new working with most of these technologies -- figuring out everything and learning fast on our feet was by far the biggest challenge, but gave us the most rewards.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Establishing a skeleton of our project allows us to continue to build on the app.
What we learned
We learned a lot of things, but I believe this helped us the most in a technical sense -- familiarized and exposed us to different technologies and coding methodologies.
What's next for flair
Hopefully turn this idea into something bigger by continuing to work on it!
