Inspiration
As someone who travelled around quite a lot, I know how convenient it is to know how to get to from place A to place B the most efficient way. I wanted to develop a project that could help simplify and plan user's trip all in one go.
What it does
When a user enters their starting and ending location, the program connects a route between those two locations. It will indicate which transport mode (walking, cycling, train/tram, flight) is better and how to get there. It displays traffic layers depending on transport mode. Also, depending on the weather condition, it will recommend what to wear.
How we built it
We used Google APIs and openWeather API and incorporated to suit our needs
Challenges we ran into
- Front end: Couldn't get it to connect to the backend (APIs and all)
- I tried to add tourist attractions (google directions API) but it is not working properly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Our program works
- I think it is quite comprehensive and covered what we initially set out to do during the planning

What's next for Flagship Hackathon
- Since this was our first hackathon for both of us, I'm looking forward gain more experience.
