Inspiration

Urban communities face daily civic issues like potholes, garbage overflow, and water leaks, but reporting them is often frustrating and ineffective. Complaints get lost, lack clarity, or don’t reach the right authorities.

We were inspired to build a solution that empowers citizens to report issues easily and ensures those reports are structured, actionable, and trackable.

What it does

FixMyCity AI is a smart platform that helps users report and track civic issues in their area.

Users can:

Upload a photo of the issue Add or auto-detect location Get an AI-generated structured complaint View issues on a map Track the status of reported problems

The platform transforms unstructured reports into clear, actionable insights, improving the chances of resolution.

How we built it

• Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive UI • Backend: Node.js + Express for API handling • Database: MongoDB for storing reports and user data • AI Integration: LLM API to generate structured complaint descriptions • Maps: Google Maps API to visualize reported issues Workflow:
