Inspiration

Finance is all about numbers and that makes financial awareness hard to come by. This is why we decided to make the process more interactive!

What it does

FiVerse is a guided simulation platform for financial learning. There are preset tasks & situations that one may face in practical life which the user can go through with/without the help of a paid financial advisor. The simulations are immersive and educational. The mode of payment is a new cryptocurrency which will be supported by a parallel layer of standard payments API integrations for those who do not know how to use crypto-currencies yet. This makes our platform decentralized and thus accessible by everyone in the world who has crypto wallet.

How we built it

We used Decentraland SDK and wrote code in JavaScript. We used open source marketplaces to find 3D models to add to our simulation. To integrate P2P communication we plan to use Colyseus SDK (a managed websockets API) and to support it, a Python backend server.

Challenges we ran into

Procuring assets for 3D models was a tough task. We mostly used assets available on open source licenses or ones used in documentation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have a scalable innovative product with the potential to impact a lot of lives backed by a solid revenue model.

What we learned

Using crypto-currency as a means of payments enables accessibility and extensibility of a soultion.

What's next for FiVerse

We plan to add:

1. More simulations
2. Integration of a brand new cryptocurrency along with standard payment interfaces
3. A Simulation Marketplace like the App Store
4. Simulations SDK for content creators
