Inspiration

As a young builder, I create something new every day. But while working on my projects, I realized that maintaining fitness is just as important as building tech. When I discovered the worldwide hackathon hosted by ElevenLabs, I saw an opportunity to create something that could help both myself and others stay fit. That’s how the idea for FitX AI was born—a health-focused AI assistant designed to make fitness more accessible and personalized.

What It Does

FitX AI is an intelligent health and fitness assistant that helps users stay active and reach their fitness goals. It offers:

How We Built It

My teammate, Priyanka, and I started by brainstorming the product idea and designing the UI. We then moved on to development, implementing AI-powered features to provide personalized fitness support. Initially, we tried integrating ElevenLabs for voice assistance but faced technical limitations, so we switched to Google API services for better performance.

Challenges We Ran Into

Integration Issues: We spent a lot of time trying to make ElevenLabs work, but eventually, we had to pivot to Google APIs. Working with Lovable: We encountered some roadblocks using this tool but managed to troubleshoot and resolve them. Balancing AI Accuracy & Performance: Ensuring the AI provided useful recommendations while keeping the system efficient was a key challenge.

Successfully building a functional and intelligent fitness assistant. Overcoming technical challenges and adapting to new tools. Collaborating effectively as a team to bring FitX AI to life.

What We Learned

The importance of flexibility when integrating APIs. Troubleshooting AI-related challenges and refining the user experience. Effective teamwork and problem-solving under time constraints.
