Inspiration

Our inspiration for FitTraq stemmed from a collective passion for health and wellness. We recognized the need for a comprehensive fitness tracking solution that seamlessly integrates into users' lives. Our goal was to create a platform that not only monitors physical activity but also provides meaningful insights and motivation for individuals on their fitness journey.

What it does

FitTraq is a sophisticated fitness tracking application designed to monitor and analyze various aspects of your physical activity. It utilizes state-of-the-art technology to record steps, distance covered, calorie expenditure, and even tracks specific activities like running, walking and sitting.

How we built it

FitTraq was primarily developed using MATLAB to ensure an engaging and responsive user experience. We leveraged MATLAB's versatile features for data processing and visualization. This approach allowed us to create a comprehensive fitness tracking application without the need for external APIs or location tracking.

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the development process, we encountered several challenges. One of the main hurdles was optimizing the app's performance to ensure real-time tracking. Overcoming the obstacles required meticulous problem-solving and collaboration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our intuitive user interface received positive feedback during user testing, affirming our efforts in creating an accessible and user-friendly application.

What we learned

Throughout the development of FitTraq, we gained valuable insights into wearable technology, data synchronization, and user experience design. Moreover, we honed our teamwork and communication skills, which were crucial in overcoming challenges.

What's next for FitTraq

In the future, we envision expanding FitTraq's capabilities to include more advanced analytics and personalized insights. We're exploring the integration of machine learning algorithms to provide tailored workout recommendations based on user behavior and goals. Additionally, we plan to implement location tracking and giving feedback to users based on their health records like nutrition, heart exercises, stress levels, and all.
