FitGift is a hybrid mobile app to motivate people to get fit
Using FitGift
Jenny is a busy Northwestern Computer Science college student who used to find it hard to find the motivation to get into shape. Fortunately she found FitGift before the Freshmen fifteen set in.
All she has to do is pick a workout gift from an Amazon search within the app. In the process, she charges her credit card for this prize, which she won't receive until she runs x miles.
Jenny spends weeks running outside and slowly progressing towards her goal. She thinks it's great that she has the choice to either manually input her miles run when she's on a treadmill or use the app's "Record Run" tracker to log her progress.
Eventually Jenny reaches her goal and a Redeem button pops up. She presses redeem and is amazed to find the Amazon item shipped to her house and a text message sent to her mom about her success!
