Inspiration
We were inspired by Strava and how it tracks your running distance and time, while it also shows you your friend's progress.
What it does
It tracks every fitness activity you do whether it's swimming, tennis, or volleyball it'll track the time you spend and where you spend it.
How we built it
We first built it using Figma to get the design down on an iPhone 14 then moved it to Swift to make the IOS version.
Challenges we ran into
It was everyone's first time using Swift so there was a slight learning curve, which also didn't help that a lot of videos we watched were outdated and can't be used on IOS 16.0 or later. It was also our first time using GitHub for a team project which took up a good chunk of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud to work together on something we had no experience with and manage to get the feature work even though one of our macs got bricked XD, but overall it was a fun experience.
What we learned
We learned how to commit, pull, and push code into a repository, and we learned Swift to the point where we could make a functioning app, and Figma to where we would feel comfortable teaching it to someone who has no experience.
What's next for FitFam
We're not sure yet since we made most of the features we wanted but in the future, we will have friends and family testing it to see if they like it or what we could improve on it.
