Inspiration
Paper-based fleet management is inefficient and error-prone. We aimed to create an automated system inspired by rental car processes to simplify UCAN's workflow.
What it does
Our system digitizes fleet management, enabling staff to submit requests, managers to approve them, and facility staff to assign vehicles. It also tracks vehicle returns, automates notifications, and ensures smooth operations.
How we built it
We used SharePoint for data management, Power Automate for workflows, and Power Apps for a user-friendly interface. The system automates approvals, notifications, and return processing.
Challenges we ran into
Condition Statements (technical issue), linking return forms to requests, and ensuring an intuitive design for user adoption.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Automated a manual process, improved data accuracy, and created a scalable solution that enhances transparency and saves time.
What we learned
Streamlining complex workflows with automation tools while addressing user needs and ensuring data consistency.
What's next for Fitch Group 5
Expand features for analytics, improve UI/UX, and integrate reminders for overdue tasks.
