✅ Inspiration Many students struggle to stay active and healthy, especially with busy schedules, screen time, and limited access to fitness guidance. I wanted to create a simple, friendly digital coach that helps teens build healthy habits, stay motivated, and reduce stress — anytime, anywhere.
✅ What it does FitBuddy is an easy-to-use fitness companion designed for students. It provides daily workout plans, personalized activity reminders, and motivational tips. Users can track their progress, set goals, and stay active without needing expensive equipment or a gym. FitBuddy keeps fitness simple, fun, and accessible for everyone.
✅ How I built it I built FitBuddy using React Native / Figma for design. I designed simple, student-friendly screens with clear buttons and progress tracking. The app logic is based on basic fitness principles, with plans that adapt to the user’s needs. If this is a prototype, I used wireframes and mockups to demonstrate the main features and user flow.
✅ Challenges I ran into I had to think about how to keep workouts fun and motivating for teenagers, while making the app easy to use. Designing an interface that looks modern but simple was also a challenge. I also worked on finding the right balance between guidance and freedom — I didn’t want the app to feel like extra homework!
✅ Accomplishments that I'm proud of I’m proud that FitBuddy can help teens like me stay active and healthier without needing a gym or coach. I’m also happy with how simple and friendly the design is — I think it’s inviting for other students to use. This project helped me turn a real problem into a working solution.
✅ What I learned I learned how to design a product that solves a real societal issue. I also improved my skills in user interface design, planning app logic, and thinking about user motivation. This project taught me how technology can make a positive impact on health and well-being — starting with students like me.
