Inspiration
Healthcare is a major issue in America and people are finding it difficult to afford premiums for health and life insurance. We set out on a mission come up with a solution that not only gets people discounts on the insurance but also makes them healthy and have fun while they are at it.
What it does
Our app lets users set gym goals like never before. We set out on gamifying the entire experience adding streaks and levels to get points. Our users will be able to collect AR collectibles at the gym after a streak of successful gym visits. On accumulating enough number of points they will be able to get a discount their premiums or use it for other deals available in their areas.
How we built it
We built the mobile app on Android. The backend is on python flask hosted on GCP and mocks were made on Photoshop.
Challenges we ran into
Working with ARCore on Android possibly took us most of the time. We also realized that ARCore will only run on newer devices.
