In our team, we had come up with several ideas, but we ended up with FitAge app which we believe it is a useful program for community to utilise effectively for their daily activities.
The app is designed to promote autonomy for the people being helped by it with a large range of suggestions grouped into different types of activities. Promoting all round fitness including mental and physical health. The carers are relieved of having to think up new activities as a full range is at their 'fingertips'. The company is provided with de-identified data to help with analysis and controlling the range of activities being offered by them for their residents.
We decided to collaborate with partnerships to create FitAge. We researched our target market that are older people. This group of people in some instances are hidden away and at times forgotten members of our society. We came up with a suitable product for service provision in our application. We bought together our ideas and created a business model canvas.
The challenges we faced were the differences between our experiences, self-knowledge and differing skills-sets. The conflict of ideas during the collaboration between team members was one of the challenges we faced. This was not necessarily bad as we have diversity of knowledge and different skills to input into the project.
We are proud that we actually created the product as it is a first time for all of us to create something like this from the first draft to delivering the promotion for the product.
We learned from each other, giving and taking, collaborating with each other, advisers and mentors
Into the future for FitAge, it is to be fully developed into a viable product.
