In our team, we had come up with several ideas, but we ended up with FitAge app which we believe it is a useful program for community to utilise effectively for their daily activities.

The app is designed to promote autonomy for the people being helped by it with a large range of suggestions grouped into different types of activities. Promoting all round fitness including mental and physical health. The carers are relieved of having to think up new activities as a full range is at their 'fingertips'. The company is provided with de-identified data to help with analysis and controlling the range of activities being offered by them for their residents.

We decided to collaborate with partnerships to create FitAge. We researched our target market that are older people. This group of people in some instances are hidden away and at times forgotten members of our society. We came up with a suitable product for service provision in our application. We bought together our ideas and created a business model canvas.

The challenges we faced were the differences between our experiences, self-knowledge and differing skills-sets. The conflict of ideas during the collaboration between team members was one of the challenges we faced. This was not necessarily bad as we have diversity of knowledge and different skills to input into the project.

We are proud that we actually created the product as it is a first time for all of us to create something like this from the first draft to delivering the promotion for the product.

We learned from each other, giving and taking, collaborating with each other, advisers and mentors

Into the future for FitAge, it is to be fully developed into a viable product.

HELP!!! I have had some computer problems today.

I need help of any one who has the skill and resources and or ability required to help bring this app and to fruition.

I am not an app builder, I am an ideas person. I do not have the level of skill and resources, in myself required to attain this goal.

This project was undertaken last year just before the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic. The girls who took part in this project, at the conclusion of our workshop, were not interested in following the project on to fruition.

Healthcare workers are now under pressures never imagined or experienced before in their working lives. The highly professional formulation of the app will come to the aid of the nursing staff by relieving the pressure of having to remember their clients personalised preferences and idiosyncacies as well as any adjustments that have developed, change of medications, due to illness or recovery. In regard to dosages of medications, in built prompts, checking for unwanted side effects and so on. The app will also aid in the event of a transfer to a different worker who may not know or be at all familiar with the client.

Updated information will be entered by each caring professional in the simplest and most straight forward way possible, at all times protecting the individuals privacy as is required and expected. The careworker can enter any information that is relevant to the optimal level of care expected by society, the provider, primarily the person themselves and possibly their families that is required of them in their different roles.

Helping to deliver care, in a person centred manner and with a consistent level of quality care by giving remiders to carers about upcoming dates, significant past events and appointments. As mentioned previously this could be formulated for use as a personalised aid to empower individuals and relieve pressure on families involved in their daily care routines and appointments. All to be done in an ethical way whilst protecting the dignity of the patient.

When used properly this app has the potential to be used to great affect by reducing the need to repeat information or even unneccesarily voice it all, much less over and over, thus further protecting the individual, revolutionising care as we have come to know it. This in turn will free up time spent in meetings, enabling time to be spent in the life saving , maintaining and preserving work that takes the predominant place in the care environment.
