Bio

Our company is called Fit-Tastic,

Our goal with this website is to promote a healthier lifestyle for our users through various features within our site. We want to promote and lower the barrier of entry towards trying healthier options.

Within our home page, we present 3 possible solutions for our users. Here at Fit-Tastic, we care about being more inclusive for our users and provide many options to help make it more accessible within our menu. Specialized options include adjustable font sizes, dyslexia accommodations, and contrast switching.

Our first solution is our Shopping List option, which provides a healthy template and alternatives through various categories. It includes a general price breakdown (when applicable) and in an easy-to-visualize fashion in order to help people get started on the right track.

With Suggest, we have a series of personalized questions and using the power of AI, produce a meal tailored to you and your interest.

Through Recipe, the user provides their current inventory of ingredients, and we’ll generate a meal that contains those ingredients. We’ll also provide instructions and a list of additional ingredients required for prep.

What it does

Promotes healthier eating by making the barrier of entry easier.

How we built it

We built it using ReactJS as our main framework which we call the ChatGPT and Spoonacular API for our features. As for styling, we use a mix of SCSS and tailwind. We collaborate using VsCode Live Collaboration.
