Inspiration

Inspired by underwater games like Subnautica and stylized assets like League of Legends.

What it does

It holds fish and provides oxygen through the pipes...although this one is a bit old and broken.

How we built it

I created a rough block-out in Blender, brought it into Zbrush to sculpt the details, and then I took it into Substance Painter to create the painterly textures!

Challenges we ran into

Efficiently creating the textures, I had to improvise and use black masks, baked lighting, and gradients.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was my first time using Substance Painter so I am glad I was able to make something I am proud of!

What we learned

I learned how to create stylized assets using sculpting and painting techniques. I am so excited to keep learning more about his art form.

What's next for Fish Tank

My next goal is to create a larger-scale project with more emphasis on optimization and low polys.
