I learned a bunch as I struggled through this and scrambled through tutorials to get a grasp on audio programming.
Inspiration I'm a sound designer and I always wanted to figure out how people make plugins such as Serum, Harmor, Sytrus, Massive, etc...
What it does This program plays the four basic waveforms with ADSR functionality
How I built it I just used Visual Studio, the JUCE library, and the Maximilian library
Challenges I ran into Understanding these libraries, and understanding the sources that explain how to use these.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of I did this in 24 hours, and if you were to tell me I made a synth in that amount of time using C++ a year ago, I wouldn't believe you.
What I learned How to handle buffers when it comes to speaker output, how to make a slider/parameter thingy, how to make a window application, building an exe and linking it to the project, and so much more.
What's next for Firstplugin Adding FM synthesis, Filters, More oscillators, Additive synthesis, applying the Fourier transform, etc... I'm excited.
