Inspiration
My inspiration came from my Dad who is a first generational college student. He would tell me about the struggles he had and how it was always difficult for him to find resources.
What it does
FirstGen Connect is a resource where people can come and find resources to help them with certain things like building resumes and scholarships.
How we built it
We built it through google sites.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into was the overall design and what aspects we wanted to include.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Something we're proud of is that we were able to build this website and learn a lot!
What we learned
We learned a lot about first generational college student's along with what they struggle with.
What's next for FirstGen Connect
To make our website better by learning how to code and adding more features. For example, adding stories about other people. Additionally expanding FirstGen Connect to social media such as instagram.
