Inspiration
Helping students get access to all the information offered at our university. The lack of direction or a centralized hub for all the resources offered is a real hit to preventing students from not asking questions or knowing when deadlines are due, for example.
What it does
Compile information into one location for easy access to all the information. Currently all information was pulled manually and complied into PDF's or PNG's, but if work continues could be automated to pull all this info from the actual websites.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS which we learned as we designed.
Challenges we ran into
Not knowing all the ins and outs of these languages, so learning while implementing was pretty difficult thus causing more issues while fixing formatting problems rather than actual problems with our implementation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a product with a language that neither of us knew how to use! and all in a weekend! We can also share with our friends our prototype to see what changes could be made and if this seems like something they would have loved to use during their first year on campus.
What we learned
Working together, dividing work and making sure we each are okay with asking question is what is important during group work
