My team of four is now working on additional new apps that will be similar to the First Home Saver. These will include a New Car Saver, a Wedding Saver, a College Saver and a Vacation Saver. The apps will embrace each theme to create a rewarding experience for the users. Like the First Home Saver, the apps will work with regular checking and savings accounts offered by the participating bank.
Core providers and/or banks will be able to collect new data about customers' goals and behaviors. This data has particular value because it goes beyond transactional data, and provides insight into the larger financial decisions that people are making in their lives.
I'm looking forward to working to perfect these apps and creating real value.
