Inspiration
I've stumbled across a need for select Jewish community members in New York to have access other religious communities. However, because of a strong social stigma, it is difficult to do so over Facebook without the interested individual feeling like their privacy is unsafe.
Furthermore, when a single Facebook page is the social media strategy, it is difficult to immediately connect people to local contacts without a manual process or using an expensive CRM system.
What it does
First Contact allows the seeker to optionally speak to a local friend with mutual anonymity with the Messenger bot as the mediator.
How I built it
We built a visual prototype using Botsociety. We also commenced building the bot with Django, Requests, and React.
