I have an idea for a Recipe app that would help loads of people just like my mum because she is always scavenging through rough bits of paper to find the right Recipe. To start to learn the Android Studio language and interface I wanted to build a small app that is simple.
What it does
The percentage app at the moment calculates the percentage of a number that you input. You also input the percentage you want to find out from a number, for example, 37% of 83 which will equal to 30.71,
How I built it
I built it using Android Studio and the background Java language. I actually don't know Java so I was learning that language on the way to building a few small test apps.
Challenges I ran into
I ran into a few challenges for example, the buttons would not link together and that was compulsory otherwise the desired percentage and number could not be calculated correctly.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud that I finally was able to make my first app, it may not be amazing but I used a lot of logic in building the app. I used a lot of features included in Android Studio.
What I learned
I learn't a lot from just placing buttons onto the screen to running an Android Nexus Phone Simulator. It was an amazing experience and I really will continue developing different apps to expand my knowledge to the maximum.
