Inspiration

Firesight was inspired by a shared commitment to community safety. After witnessing a fire outbreak escalate due to delayed notifications, the team recognized the urgent need for a dedicated platform. The name "Firesight" cleverly combines "foresight" and "fire," emphasizing the importance of anticipating fire incidents.

What it does

Firesight empowers citizens to report fires in real-time, enhancing community safety. Users can upload live photos or stream incidents directly to the app reaching the right people to take action and reaching the right people to make them aware of any incidents within the area. The app sends location-based alerts to nearby users and promotes community engagement by allowing individuals to share updates about fire ongoing emergencies, promoting collaboration during crises.

How we built it

using flutterflow for ui, firebase for database

Challenges we ran into

The team faced several challenges during the development of Firesight. Although they had a payment card, the processing time of a few hours delayed access to essential software and services, impacting their workflow. Additionally, the team needed to learn FlutterFlow from scratch and Firebase more, which required significant time and effort. The time constraints of the hackathon added further pressure, testing the team's resilience and adaptability throughout the process.
