Inspiration

We were inspired by Melody's workshop to make a platform game focused around our favorite animal, the duck. Our story concept was centered around the pun "firequacker" so we tried to come up with a logical plot to go along with it.

What it does

It provides an interactive user experience and allows them to complete a challenging game.

How we built it

We built the game using Construct 3. Our team video called and consistently sent drafts of the game to one another to ensure quality and consistency across multiple devices.

Challenges we ran into

Both of us are new to game development, so our only experience was from Melody's workshop using Construct 3. Since we were so inexperienced, we didn't know a lot of the controls in Construct 3, so we had to learn many things on our own.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we could figure out many unique features without outside help. We were able to solve problems and create a working game that we could enjoy.

What we learned

We both learned about Construct 3 in the past 3 days, and how to make a game using the software.

What's next for FireQuacker

We hope to have the opportunity to make more levels and add sophistication to our game. It is still very much a diamond in the rough, but it is an accomplishment for us as novice game developers.
