Firefly - The illuminated picnic Blanket

Everyone loves pic nics. Unfortunately most gatherings, meetups or dates end at dusk. With Firefly your event continues because we have the perfect illuminating solution to keep your event going.

Our idea is based on a cosy blanket, that you can use to light up internally.Therefore we installed neo pixels between the materials and combined the light products with a bluetooth interface, using the Funduino Mega. On the upper side the blanket is cosy and has everything a usual pic nic blanket can offer. On the bottom side we enhanced the blanket with a leather surface, so that it is more resistant.

And then we have the app: Once you connect the blanket via bluetooth with the firefly app, you can start using a very intuitive interface. The app allows you to choose from different light modes, depending on mood and situation, and even let you customize brightness and colour.

Our vision is to add even more modes, e.g. so that the light modes can interact with music apps or display images or even light games on the upper side of the blanket.
